Callusing, Cell suspension culture and Secondary Metabolites Production in Argyreia nervosa (Burm. F.) Bojer

Abstract: In vitro cultures of Argyreia nervosa (Hawaiian Baby Woodrose) was initiated form leaf of the plant on Murashige and Skoog's (MS) medium containing different PGRs. Callus induction was experimented by culturing leaf at different combinations and concentrations of PGRs. Best callus induction and fresh weight were obtained at 5.0 mg/l IAA+ 1.0 mg/l BAP.
