CAMACUA: Low Cost Real Time Risk Alert and Location System for Healthcare Environments

Abstract: Abstract-Medication error and other risky situations can lead to serious patient injuries or discomfort. We have designed a real time risk alert and location system to increase patient safety and to reduce medication administration errors. CAMACUA is based on barcode and passive RFID technology for real time location.
