Can Chest Surgery Operations be done in the State Hospital?

Abstract

ÖZAmaç: Çalışmamız, 500 yataklı Sivas Numune Hastanesi Göğüs Cerrahisi Kliniğinde, Anadolu'da ikinci basamak bir hastanede Göğüs Cerrahisi adına birçok cerrahi girişimin rahatlıkla yapılabildiğini bildirmek için yapıldı. Results: 206 patients (72.5%) were male and 78 patients (27.5%) were female. The mean age was 47.03 ± 22.37 years (min = 1.5, max = 95). Pleural effusion was the most common complication, seen in 60 of the patients (21.1%). The procedures performed were as follows: 98 (34.5%) tube thoracostomies, 60 (21.1%) cystofix catheter insertions, 49 (17.3%) thoracotomies, 34 (12%) VATS, 12 (4.2%) Nuss operations, 9 (3.2%) Abramson operations and other minor operations. Complications developed in 6 of the patients (2.11%). Gereç ve Conclusion:In this article, we report on the major surgical operations performed with low complication rates at a second-stage state hospital so that new thoracic surgeons who will work at a second-stage state hospital in the future can look forward to their appointment.
