Abstract: (p<0.05) between oxygen consumption (VO 2 ) and oxygen pulse (r=0.76), age (r=0.35) and body mass index (r=0.45) were found. There was no significant correlation between ventricular ejection fraction and the others studied variables. Comparing the functional classes of NYHA, significantly differences were found to VO 2 and oxygen pulse (p<0.05). In this study, the correlations reflect the complexity in analyzing and understanding the process of disfunction in HF, once probably other factors influence each of t… Show more

“…In this context the correlation presented strong and significant values between the MLHFQ domains and VSAQ's METS scores (r= 0, 562) and negative due to the instruments inverse proportionality, while the lower the METS result, the higher the task execution difficulty, the same idea is expressed in the MLHFQ with higher results (PENA et al, 2011;SANTOS et al, 2011;SANTOS et al, 2015).…”

“…This predominance also implies in a larger number of early retirement, work field removal, greater dependency to perform simple activities, which leads to emotional degradation, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety signals (PEREIRA et al, 2012).…”

“…In addition, there was no record of the functional class of the elderly in their chart, and it was estimated at the time of evaluation based on the New York Heart Association. Despite functional class being a subjective indicator of HF associated with classification and interpretation bias, it is widely used both in clinical practice and in research (27) . Added to the low number of admission cases for HF, these are limitations that must be observed in future studies.…”
