-This assay was conducted in the experimental area of the Federal Institute of Bahia, Campus Guanambi, BA, and aimed to evaluate agronomic traits of Prata, Cavendish, Gros Michel and Maçã banana cultivars three production cycles. The 72 treatments, 24 cultivars and three production cycles were arranged in a split plot scheme in time, in a completely randomized design with five replications and four plants per plot. Plots were arranged in 24 cultivars, Prata-Anã, Maravilha, FHIA-18, FHIA-18 BRS, BRS Platina, JV42-135, Pacovan, Japira, PV79-34, Pacovan-Ken, Preciosa, Guarantida, Maçã, Caipira, BRS Tropical, BRS Princesa, YB42-03, YB42-07, YB42-47, Grande-Naine, Calypso, Buccaneiro, FHIA-23 and FHIA-17; and subplots consisted of three production cycles. Data obtained were submitted to analysis of variance. The average of the cultivars were grouped by Scott-Knott criterion (p<0.05) and production cycles compared by Tukey test (p<0.05). 'JV42-235', 'Japira' and 'Pacovan-Ken' cultivars had larger size and 'Grande Naine' had smaller size. 'Prata-Anã' cultivar had higher number of leaves at harvest, with leaf area index similar to the others. 'BRS Platina' cultivar is earlier at flowering and harvest. 'Maravilha', 'BRS Platina', 'FHIA-23', 'BRS Tropical and BRS Princesa' cultivars presented greater potential for use by farmers.

“…In the first production cycle, highlighted by the largest number, Thap Maeo, PA94-0, FHIA 23, YB42-17, FHIA 02 and Caipira; in the second cycle, Thap Maeo, and in the third cycle, Thap Maeo. It was observed an increase in the total number of fruits in the first two cycles (without statistical differences between them) for the third cycle in the genotypes YB42-17 and Caipira, as well as from the first to second and third cycles (without statistical differences between the last two) regarding the YB42-47, Maravilha,Thap Maeo, Despite the differences detected between genotypes and cycles, comparing the results of this study with other, between the same cultivars, one can notice that the total number of fruits are inferior in this study (Nomura et al, 2013b;Silva et al, 2013b;Ribeiro et al 2013;Rodrigues Filho et al, 2014;Roque et al, 2014;Silva et al, 2016;Silva et al, 2017). Thus, two hypotheses could explain this discrepancy, 1 st ) cultivars are not adapted to the conditions of Rio Branco or; 2 nd ) the management dispensed to the orchard was not enough for the genotypes to express a greater quantity of fruit.…”

The characterization and evaluation of banana genotypes (Musa spp.) is an important step both for breeding programs and for indication to farmers. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate banana genotypes in Rio Branco-Acre, aiming at their incorporation into the region 's production systems. The experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design in a subdivided plots scheme with five replicates and four plants per plot. The treatments of the plots were the three production cycles, and the subplots were the nineteen banana genotypes. We evaluated plant's height; perimeter of the pseudostem base; number of active leaves at the inflorescence and harvesting stage; the period from planting until flowering, the period from flowering until harvest and period from planting until harvest; the mass of the bunch, the total number of fruits per bunch; the number of pieces; productivity. The genotypes Thap Maeo, FHIA-02, FHIA-18, and Maravilha, present the best agronomic performance and have the potential to be incorporated into the banana production system in the edaphoclimatic conditions of the Rio Branco, Acre region.

A bananicultura apresenta grande importância socioeconômica para o Brasil, gerando vários empregos diretos e indiretos. Objetivou-se avaliar a influência das adubações com nitrogênio e potássio no crescimento vegetativo da bananeira ‘BRS Vitória’. O trabalho foi realizado no setor de agricultura do Centro de Ciências Humanas, Sociais e Agrárias da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, município de Bananeiras, estado da Paraíba, Brasil. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições, sendo os tratamentos dispostos em esquema fatorial conforme a matriz Plan Plueba III, com cinco doses de N (15, 90; 150; 210 e 285 g por planta) e cinco doses de K2O (24; 144; 240; 336 e 456 g por planta). Nas análises de crescimento foram avaliadas altura do pseudocaule, diâmetro do pseudocaule e taxas de crescimento absoluto da altura e do diâmetro do pseudocaule. A dose de 133,3 g por planta de nitrogênio proporcionou altura máxima de 3,7 m para a bananeira ‘BRS Vitória’ no lançamento da inflorescência. Recomenda-se utilizar a combinação das doses de 200 g por planta de nitrogênio e 312,5 g por planta de potássio, para maior crescimento vegetativo da bananeira ‘BRS Vitória’.
