reconnected compared with those that remained persistently isolated (23.8 s vs 44.3 s, p < .0001). There was no significant difference in nadir temperatures between veins that reconnected and those that remained isolated (48.9 • C vs 51.5 • C, p = 0.1). There was no significant difference in freezing velocity between those veins that reconnected and those that did not (29 s vs 26 s, p = 0.22). ROC curve analysis yielded an AUC of 0.76. The sensitivity and specificity were 54% and 88% at a cutpoint of 18 s. Conclusion: Balloon rewarming time predicts pulmonary vein reconnection.
