Abstract: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), and restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM) are characterized by thickening, thinning, or stiffening, respectively, of the ventricular myocardium, resulting in diastolic or systolic dysfunction that can lead to heart failure and sudden cardiac death.
