Abstract: BackgroundCorrect electrode placement and proper skin preparation for cardiac telemetry monitoring of patients at risk for arrhythmias increase the quality of the arrhythmic surveillance. Inconsistent arrhythmia surveillance can compromise patient safety and care outcomes.
