Abstract:Cardiovascular reflexes can be defined as fast-acting, centrally-mediated feedback mechanisms between the cardiovascular system and the central nervous system. These reflexes help to maintain blood pressure within physiological limits by adjusting heart rate, cardiac contractility and systemic vascular resistance.
