Cardiovascular risk associated with the use of selective COX-2 inhibitors: a systematic review

Abstract: Introduction: Selective inhibitors of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 were developed to reduce the gastrointestinal toxicity of conventional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
