Caregiver Resource Center Network, 1999–2002

Abstract

The Caregiver Resource Center Network's implementation of a CHESS-like system (DementiaCare) demonstrates the value of an interactive health communication system (IHCS) in non-medical settings. No physician referral was required or even involved as part of this implementation. One site served as the "CHESS coordinator" and staff at the other resource centers received training and support for using CHESS with their population of caregivers of dementia patients.
