Abstract:Abstract* Hypoglossal nerve injuries are classified according to their anatomical localization in: Infranuclear, nuclear, and supranuclear. Supranuclear injuries can occur in cerebral cortex, corticobulbar tracts, internal capsule, cerebral peduncles, or in the pons, and most often caused by a stroke.
