However, in the studies of Wang et al (2022) , Donaldson and Margolin (2023) , and Tugizova et al (2023) also reported right-side optic neuritis after COVID-19 vaccination. In most of the studies of optic neuritis following COVID-19 immunization, corticosteroids were prescribed for the patients ( Arnao et al, 2022 ; García-Estrada et al, 2022 ; Helmchen et al, 2022 ; Jarius et al, 2022 ; Leber et al, 2021 ; Liu and Lee, 2022 ; Roy et al, 2022 ), except for conservative therapy for a patient with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) ( Donaldson and Margolin, 2023 ), intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) for a patient with right-side optic neuritis ( Tugizova et al, 2023 ), and plasmapheresis for a patient with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder ( Badrawi et al, 2021 ).…”
