Abstract:A general and flexible platform for catalytic aldehyde−alkyne couplings triggered by ketyl radicals is described. This open-shell strategy necessitates only a catalytic quantity of a photoredox catalyst, along with Hunig's base (DIPEA) as a halogen atom transfer reagent.
