Abstract:The effective cleavage of C‐O bonds in linkages of lignin was one of the significant strategies promoting lignin valorization. Herein, the strategy of C‐O bonds cleavage of lignin using metal triflate as the catalyst was developed. The carboxylic acid or alcohol could be used as the nucleophile to stabilize the reactive intermediates formed during the depolymerization of lignin, and the corresponding ester/ether compounds could be obtained. This catalytic system was suitable for the C‐O bond cleavage in α‐O‐4 … Show more
Nitrogenous chemicals are widely used in synthesis of medicines, fine chemicals, polymers, and agrochemicals. Biomass and its derived molecules are particularly prominent and provides a green and sustainable production route...
The oxidative depolymerization of β-O-4 linkages into value-added aromatic chemicals is of great importance for lignin valorization. However, achieving highly selective and rapid cleavage of β-O-4 linkages under mild conditions...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
