Catalytic Effects on the Nonisothermal Oxidation of Solid Fuels by Oxygen: An Experimental Study

Abstract: The reactivity of Pd-Sn/alumina treated and untreated solid fuels were compared. With catalyst treatment; o CO emissions factors reduced by 87%, o Reduced CO/CO2 ratio by 7-fold o Increased combustion efficiency by 60 %, o Increased free active sites on solid fuel surfaces and o Reduced the temperature for release of NOx emissions
