Abstract:Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a lineage-restricted hematopoietic growth factor. It induces proliferation and maturation of neutrophilic precursors and progenitors and activates neutrophil functions. It is used to ameliorate or prevent profound neutropenia and its consequences.
