“…The results suggested that some of the main causes of delays in Egypt's road construction projects are high price of heavy equipment used in road building, contractors inadequate supply of materials, poor experience of contractors or improper performance of the subcontractor and changes in design or implementation stages of the project. Ruqaishi and Bashir (2015) examined causes of delays in construction projects of Oman gas and oil facilities and employed it as a case study for the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The results showed that there is a high degree of consensus among stakeholders, employers, contractors and consultants about causes of delays one of which is poor interaction with vendors in the engineering and goods supply stages.…”
