Abstract:Abstract. We analyse the commonly used adiabatic techniques in the atom-cavity field interaction to controUably entangle two distant atoms trapped inside a single-mode optical cavity. Two techniques are considered: the first involves a highly detuned cavity from the atomic transition frequencies, and the second involves a near resonant but strongly damped cavity. We show that both, the detuning and the cavity damping are needed to obtain the master equation of the collectively interacting atoms. We analyse the… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
