Abstract:Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology where all nodes in a blockchain maintain the same ledger. The key to a blockchain is to ensure the uniqueness of the ledger. Therefore, different consensus protocols have been designed to cater for different applications. Consensus protocols such as pow and pos allow nodes to enter and leave at any time but still ensure convergence, while PBFT and Raft protocols can speed up convergence in licensed blockchains but are relatively less secure. We analyse consensu… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
