“…On the other hand, ionic liquids could improve the lifetimes of intermediates . Recently, chemiluminescence (CL) amplification strategies have been applied to various studies in the field of analytical chemistry. Among these strategies, ionic liquids could be used as the reliable catalysts to amplify the signals of chemiluminescence (CL) reactions. , However, the CL improvements from currently available ionic liquids were low-efficiency, partly due to the fact that the disordered arrangement of molecules can strongly affect the kinetics of the reactions . Accordingly, it is our aim in this paper to fabricate the structurally ordered ionic liquid catalysts to improve CL signals.…”

“…As a potent CL system, the RhoB–H 2 O 2 reaction was utilized for the investigation of the catalytic action of prepared CoMOF. This reaction is a well-known CL system with a weak emission, which can be intensified by application of suitable nanocatalysts. , On the other hand, cobalt-based catalysts have a good potential to improve the speed of H 2 O 2 -based CL reactions. , The great positive effect of Co-based catalysts has been described as the ability of cobalt(II) to react with H 2 O 2 (reaction ) that leads to the formation of hydroxyl radicals (OH • ) . Subsequently, these radicals can mainly follow two mechanisms: (1) they can react with each other and produce the excited double oxygen ((O 2 ) 2 *; reactions –), leading to the generation of CL emission in the wavelength range of 450–550 nm; (2) due to the high oxidizing behavior of OH • , they can react with other organic or inorganic CL reagents and facilitate their oxidation. Herein, it was observed that the CL emission of the RhoB–H 2 O 2 system was remarkably enhanced in the presence of CoMOF.…”

“…Especially, since Bard et al first reported the ECL of silicon quantum dots (QDs) [24], QDs have been widely investigated, due to their adjustable size, high stability, unique optoelectronic property and prominent biocompatibility. For example, CdTe [25], CdSe [26], CuInS2 [27], CdS ZnS-based [28], nitrogen-doped Ti 3 C 2 MXene [29] and black phosphorus QDs [30] have been reported for ECL sensing applications, accompanying with strong ECL emission and satisfactory analytic results. However, there are still some limitations for these proposed QDs to be applied in practice due to the inherent toxicity.…”
