Abstract

Abstract.Compact Hausdorff spaces X of cohomological dimension dimz X < n are characterized as cell-like images of compact Hausdorff spaces Z with covering dimension dimZ < n. The proof essentially uses the newly developed techniques of approximate inverse systems.
