Abstract:Recent advances in reconstructing 3D neuron morphologies at the whole brain level offer exciting opportunities to study single cell genotyping and phenotyping. However, it remains challenging to define cell types and sub-types properly. As morphological feature spaces are often too complicated to classify neurons, we introduce a method to detect the optimal subspace of features so that neurons can be well clustered. We have applied this method to one of the largest curated databases of morphological reconstruc… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
