“…Shariah is characterized as a principle or way of life which originated from God to mankind through Prophet Muhammad and consists of three primary parts: Aqidah (Belief), Fiqh (individuals’ doing and saying and the relationship between him/her with others) and Akhlak (moral and ethics). Razak et al (2019, p. 98) defined a Shariah-compliant hotel as “A Shariah-compliant hotel is a hotel that meets the needs of Muslim tourists based on the Shariah law where the hotel normally uses certain standards or laws to certify the requirements provided to achieve Shariah compliance”.
