“…In addition, the journal features the abstracts and captured talks (provided as video files) of a symposium entitled ''Stimulating New Research on Serotonergic Neurotransmission from a Developmental Perspective'', which took place in Aachen, Germany. Presented topics include the use of depletion techniques related to 5-HT in children and adolescents (10) as well as the use of acute tryptophan depletion in rodents (11,12) and adults (13,14) to study the effects of 5-HT on behavioral inhibition (15), resting state MRI and antidepressant drug action (16), and the effects of TRP challenge on mood and coping with stress (17). With the first set of publications in TDP targeting the age groups outlined in the journal's aims and scope as indexed by infancy (2) and placental metabolism (3), childhood (10), and adolescence (10,15) as well as research conducted in adults (13,14) and animal research (9,11,12,15), I believe that this issue provides a good example of what to expect from TDP in the future.…”

It is a great time to work in the field of developmental neuroscience, and I hope that TDP can contribute successfully to an exciting neuroscientific journey.…”
