Challenging two-staged percutaneous coronary intervention in multivessel coronary artery disease with a high SYNTAX score: feasible, yet complicated

Abstract: Coronary artery disease (CAD) revascularization either by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) improves the prognosis in patients with chronic coronary syndrome [1]. Whereas PCI is the gold standard for single-vessel disease, the choice of treatment for multivessel disease (MVD) is more challenging.
