Changes in cerebral vessels during experimental hyperlipidemia

Abstract: Both specific (lipid deposition in endotheliocytes, myocytes, and pericytes) and non-specific (intense formation of apical processes and vacuoles in endotheliocytes and vacuolization of myocytes) changes in cerebral vessels of different diameter were revealed in rabbits and rats after 4 months of experimental hyperlipidemia.
