Abstract: Background: Amphibians frequently receive an antibiotic bath after feedlot placement to control bacterial diseases. The potential collateral effect of these antibiotics on the frog microbiota is largely unknown. Antibiotics are frequently employed to examine the role of the gut microbiota.
