Channel - channel correlation in dissipative heavy-ion collisions and quantum chaos in the infinite-time limit

Abstract: We suggest that the exit microchannel correlation indicates off-diagonal, long-rangeorder coherence and quantum chaos in dissipative heavy-ion collisions. Such a correlation is revealed in the non-self-averaging of the excitation function oscillations observed in dissipative heavy-ion collisions. We also discuss the splitting of Hilbert space into an infinite number of orthogonal subspaces due to the spontaneous breaking of rotational and inversion symmetries.
