Abstract

This article presents Chapter 19, Supplementary Design Data and Details, of the AWWA Committee Report on the Design and Installation of Steel water Pipe. The chapter discusses: layout of pipelines; calculation of angle of fabricated pipe bend; expansion joints; reinforcement of fittings; nomograph use in Wye Branch Design; reaction at pipe elbows and dead ends; anchor rings; joint harness; special and valve connections and other appurtenances; electrical protection; and, field joint coating.
