ИК-спектры поливинилхлоридных волокон во многих случаях имеют аналогичные полосы поглощения, но отдельные их разновидности, например, перехлорированные поливинилхлоридные и сополимерные волокна (ПОЛНВИНМЛХЛОР‹НД + ацетат целлюлозы) имеют специфичеокне полосы поглощения, что позволяет отличать их друг от друга.
