Abstract:The construction of affine interval exchange maps with wandering intervals that are semi-conjugate to a given self-similar interval exchange map is strongly related to the existence of the so called minimal sequences associated with local potentials, which are certain elements of the substitution subshift arising from the given interval exchange map. In this article, under the condition called unique representation property, we characterize such minimal sequences for potentials coming from non-real eigenvalues… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
