Abstract: Nitrated Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (NPAHs) widely exist in atmospheric aerosol particles are important constituents of brown carbon. Naphthalene and other polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are vital precursors of NPAHs.
