Characterization of optically addressed light valve and its application in radially polarized light generation

Abstract

We study the phase characteristic of optically addressed light valve (OALV) at wavelength of 635 nm using polarimetric measurement method, and obtain a phase shift of about 6π for a full range of blue light gray level intensities. We make use of this phase-intensity relationship to generate radially polarized light.
