Abstract:This paper aims to provide an integrated overview of the current state for the characterization of fracture Mode I (opening), Mode II (in-plane shear), Mode III (out-of-plane shear), as well as Mixed-Mode based on the essential work of fracture (EWF) concept on neat thermoplastics as well as composite matrices.
