Characterizing Blind Mate Connectors

Abstract

Blind Mate Microwave connectors allow the possibility of assembling microwave subsystems like LEGGOS.' There are many versions of blind mate connectors on the market with little or no standardization. Blind mate connectors are mostly ignored by the connector standards committees. This paper will propose a method of characterizing blind mate connectors and present data on three types of blind mates to 6 0 Ghz.
