“…Chemerin was first isolated from human inflammatory fluids and has since been positively associated with a number of diseases involving chronic inflammation (Bozaoglu et al , ; Jin et al , ; Patnaik et al , ). It aids in the management of pro‐inflammatory cytokine production, interleukin (IL)‐1 β , tumor necrosis factor‐alpha (TNF‐ α ), IL‐6, IL‐8, and matrix metalloproteinase‐13 (Iannone and Lapadula, ).…”

“…In several studies, the presence of this pro-inflammatory cytokine in serum and peritoneal fluid has been associated with endometriosis [15,17]. The G634C variation (rs1800796), which comprises the exchange of a guanine for a cytosine in the promoter region of the IL-6 gene, may interfere with the expression of IL-6, and therefore, it has been studied as a possible pathogenic mechanism of endometriosis [18].…”

“…Chemerinin CMKLR1 yoluyla etki eden ilk bilinen fonksiyonu, olgunlaşmamış dendritik hücrelerin ve makrofajların kemotaksisini düzenlemesidir (8, 28,29). Chemerin makrofajları ve inflamatuvar sitokinleri aktive ederek inflamasyon sürecine katkıda bulunmaktadır (30).…”
