Abstract:Diatraea saccharalis Fabricius (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), known as sugarcane borer, is the most damaging pest of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L., Poaceae) in northwestern Argentina and it causes significant losses in sugar and ethanol production.
