Chemical extraction methods for activated sludge extracellular polymeric substances (EPS): A review

Abstract: Waste activated sludge (WAS) is formed by a diverse microorganisms, organic and inorganic compounds merged and mixed together in an extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) network.
