Abstract:ChemInform Abstract The acridinethiones (I) are coupled with the bromoacetates (II) to give the 9-acridinylthioacetates (III) of which (IIIa) and (IIIb) are transformed into their hydrochlorides (IVa) and (IVb), the amides (VIa) and (VIb), and acridone (VII). Some of the compounds synthesized have antibacterical or antiphlogistic activity.
