Abstract

A Convenient Synthesis of 7-Substituted 2,3-Diphenylbenzo(b)furans.-A variety of 7-substituted benzofurans such as (III), (IV), and (VI) ( 7 examples) is successfully prepared by highly regioselective metalation of 2,3diphenylbenzofuran (I) and subsequent treatment with appropriate electrophiles. -(COUTURE, A.; GRANDCLAUDON, P.; CIRES, L.; OFENBERG, H.; Synth.
