Abstract

A Facile Removal of p-Methoxybenzyl and Diphenylmethyl Ester with Iodotrimethylsilane-Triphenylphosphine.-Diphenylmethyl and p-methoxybenzyl esters of cephalosporin derivatives (I) are converted to the corresponding carboxylic acids (II) using trimethylsilyl iodide and PPh 3 in dichloromethane at room temperature.
