Abstract

A General Synthesis of New Dithiolethione Derivatives: 5-(1-Hydroxyiminoalkyl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thiones and 5-Acyl-1,2-dithiole-3thiones.-Addition of NaNO2 to the starting dithiolethiones such as (I) (10 examples) gives the highly insoluble disulfides (II), which on reduction in DMSO/water mixture produce the title oximes (III).
