Abstract:A Ionic Hydrogenation of Aryl-Substituted 4H-Selenopyrans. -The ionic hydrogenation of 2,4,6-triaryl-4H-selenopyrans is presented for the first time. GC/MS analysis indicates that one diastereoisomer prevails in the isomeric mixtures in each case. Thus, the content of the major isomer in (IIa) is more than 97% and about 70% in (IIb).
