Abstract

A New Synthesis of Alkyl (E)-(3-Dimethylamino)acrylates. -The stereoselective synthesis of title compounds (III) and (VI) is achieved by reaction of Vilsmeier reagent, in situ generated from DMF and SOCl2, with ketene acetals.
