Abstract

A Simple One-Pot Synthesis of Condensed 1,2,4-Triazines by Using the Tandem A N -S N ipso and S H N -S N ipso Reactions.-The reaction of 1,2,4-triazines bearing a good leaving group in 5-position with bifunctional nucleophiles is investigated. Thus, triazine (IV) and its N1-methyl quaternary salt (I) react with C,N-, C,O-and N,N-bifunctional nucleophiles affording condensed 1,2,4 triazines.
