Abstract:Autoassembling of the Quinuclidine Nucleus: One-Step Synthesis, Structure, and Properties of Dimethyl 4-Hydroxy-6,6,7,7tetramethyl-. delta.2-dehydroquinuclidine-2,3-dicarboxylate.-Triacetonamine (I) reacts with the dicarboxylate (II) in aprotic solvents to give the title quinuclidine (III), while in MeOH the ordinary adduct (IV) is formed.
