Abstract:Black-Light-Induced Radical/Ionic Hydroxymethylation of Alkyl Iodides with Atmospheric CO in the Presence of Tetrabutylammonium Borohydride. -A simple, efficient, and environmentally friendly method for the hydroxymethylation of tertiary and secondary alkyl iodides is reported. Starting from primary iodides only low yields are obtained. -(KOBAYASHI, S.; KAWAMOTO, T.; UEHARA, S.; FUKUYAMA, T.; RYU*, I.; Org. Lett. 12 (2010Lett. 12 ( ) 7, 1548Lett. 12 ( -1551
