Abstract

Chemo-and Regioselective 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of 2-Diazopropane over 1,4-Benzoquinone: Synthesis of New Pyrazoloquinones. -1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition of diazopropane (II) with benzoquinone affords bis-cycloadducts (IV) and (V) along with minor amounts of mono-adduct (III). Similar reaction of bis-adduct (V) with diazopropane (II) gives exclusively O-alkylation products.
