Abstract: The treatment of the divanadium phosphotungstate with HClO4 generates in situ the [γ‐PW10O38V2(μ‐OH)2] 3‐ species which shows high catalytic activity in the hydroxylation of various aromatic compounds with aqueous H2O2.
